Lightshow mystery over Norwegian Skies
Posted by Brian | Filed under blogging
A strange lightshow lit up the Norway skyline on Wednesday night, leaving many witnessed puzzled as to what it was they were seeing.
Many theories have been put forward for the bizarre light; with everything from a Russian rocket to a shock wave and even a sign from God! Strangely, no-one has come forward to claim it was a UFO yet.
According to a report published on DigitalJournal.com the strange illumination began first with a blue light which flew up from behind a mountain before stopping and then began to move around in a circle, creating a spiral pattern in the sky.
The pattern took over the sky in quick time before a greenish blue light appeared to shoot out from the spiral’s centre, glowed for around ten minutes and then disappeared from view.
The Mail Online reports that the Norwegian Meteorological Institute was swamped with calls from curious spectators reporting the strange light.
Astronomers reported that the light was not associated to the Aurora Borealis, which is a common sighting in Norway, while Russia denied conducting missile tests.
However, increased speculation suggests the light display was caused by a test failure of the jinxed Russian Bulava missile which was test-fired from the Dmitry Donskoi submarine, which is stationed in the White Sea.
