Fans of the teen-vampire novels and films of the ‘Twilight’ series can now discover the locations that featured in Stephenie Meyer’s books and the film adaptations of the popular novels.
With the second ‘Twilight’ movie – ‘New Moon’ – about to premiere, fans of both Team Edward and Team Jacob can plan a trip to the locations featured in the novels and films thanks to the launch of a dedicated ‘Twilight’ travel page, which can be found at www.ExperienceWA.com/Twilight
Washington State’s Peninsula district has already seen heightened interest from Twilight fans and the chance to follow in the footsteps of Bella and Edward will prove the ultimate draw for dedicated fans.
Among the highlights included on the Twilight Travel page are:
• Forks, where the Cullen family and Bella and her father live;
• La Push, home to Jacob, his father and the rest of the wolf pack;
• Port Angeles, where Bella and Edward share a plate of mushroom ravioli on their first date;
• Links to other Twilight and Washington State travel information.
“Washington’s beautiful Olympic Peninsula has seen a surge in interest recently from fans of the Twilight series who want to see where Bella and Edward met, eat where they had their first date and hike through the National Parks where they hiked,” said Marsha Massey, Executive Director for Washington State Tourism. “We hope our new Twilight travel page and the rest of ExperienceWA.com will give fans all the resources they need to plan a trip to the region of our state that inspired it all.”
